Inspections supporting records management
and archiving at authorities and agencies

The inspections carried out by the National Archives Service assist organizations falling under the Archives Act in their records management and archival functions and meeting set objectives in these tasks. A further goal is to increase the capacity of the National Archives Service to promote the development and guidance of records management and archiving as well as the training in this field.

The National Archives Service annually carries out approximately 70–80 inspections in organizations belonging to the state and municipal administration throughout Finland.
