Organisation of the National Archives Service
The National Archives directs the operations, administration and development of the National Archives Service. The seven Provincial Archives operating under it function as district administrative authorities in their own regions.
The National Archives is divided into four areas of responsibility:
- Research and development
- Collections management
- Information Services
- Operations control
In addition to these, the internal audit unit reports directly to the Director General.
The public office of the Director General also includes the honorary title of National Archivist of Finland.
